We have so much to be thankful for this year, and "family" was unanimously at the top our list.
Devon, the kids, and I feel so blessed to have so many people to call family, and as we look back on the past year, we have been able to spend so much time with parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, and cousins, and our hearts just could not feel more full!
And in the spirit of having full hearts....
The newlyweds, Aaron and Molly, drove up from Eugene to spend the holiday with us, and we loved having them as house guests. They jumped right in with the kids- Molly read several books to Max and Lu, and Aaron played video games with Joe. We might have been waiting by the window when they arrived :)
Here is a peek at how we spent Thanksgiving.

The boys played in a Turkey Bowl, and they had a great time and returned without injuries, but Devon and Joe say that they have never been so sore. Ever.
While they were gone, Molly and I watched the Thanksgiving Day parade with Max and Lucy, and Molly trimmed Lucy's hair, and colored and trimmed mine. Gotta love having a sister with hair skills! |
| Dressed and ready to go to Aunt Merry's and Uncle Dave's! We picked up Grandma Donna on the way. |
| Relaxing, watching football. Aaron bonded with Lola, Merry's sweet black doggy. |
| Uncle Dave and Max, making some noise. |
| Devon and his nephew AJ, who celebrates "Movember" with that awesome mustache. |
| Grandma Donna read some books to Lucy. |
| Joe and Max played hide-and-seek. Can you find Max? |
| Dev and the littles. |
| Me and a couple of my sisters. Blondies! |
| Visiting in Merry's parlor. |
| Merry and Dave, our hosts who prepared a delicious meal. |

Of course, we ate until it hurt. It was a really great day.
We ended it with some late night/early morning Black Friday shopping!!
We braved the crowds at Target and Best Buy.

How did you spend Thanksgiving? Did you eat until it hurt? Did you shop on Black Friday?
