the company I keep

This is my husband.  He rocks.  Literally.

A Washington native, Devon loves all Seattle athletic teams, a good cup of coffee, thunder storms, and rock music.  The louder and screamier the band, the better.
I'll put him up against any man in a Best Dad Ever competition.
Oh, and he is a P90X graduate.
He loves life.  I love him.  I love life with him.

This is Joe, and he is my bonus.  See, my husband was a "package deal" when we got married- a single man complete with 6 year old son.

He is now my son, but different than the kind that grew within me.  Rather, he is the one who grows beside me, challenging me every step of the way, teaching me lessons that I never expected to learn.
Joe is known around here for his sound effects of the battle variety.  He is a Lego maniac.  When he is not cleaning his room or doing his homework, he enjoys baseball, video games, and being a big brother.
He is on the cusp of teenagedom.  Watch out world.

This is Lucy.  She is a princess.

She prefers to only wear dresses, and she loves pink.  She believes in fairies, and she prances a bit when she walks.
She is a little sassy, which I find to be funny rather than irritating.  She is a little bossy, which gets her into trouble.  She is competitive, which she gets from her daddy.  And she is sensitive, which she gets from me.
I thank my lucky stars that Lucy Kate is our girl.

This is Max. Lover Boy. Bubs.

He is a mama's boy, and you will never hear me complain about how much this boy loves me!  And my love for him?  It fills my heart and bubbles out of my mouth in the form of kisses that I cover him with as often as possible.  Can this last forever?  Can he always be my baby boy?  Don't tell me no!
He is currently the monkey in our house- copying everything that everyone says or does.  He is like our little family mascot.
And his middle name should have been Trouble.  He looks for lamps to break, locked doors to open, piles of laundry to knock down.  He is a full time job.
He enjoys Toy Story, piggy back rides, Oreo cookies, and balls of all shapes and sizes.
And did I mention that he loves his mama?
